Prior to consulting, Deborah spent fourteen years with Key Bank as Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources and Corporate Training, during which time she managed and directed the Human Resource functions for both Key Bank of Southern Maine and Key Trust Company of Maine. In that capacity, she ensured optimum operating efficiency across the full spectrum of Human Resource responsibilities including recruitment/hiring, manpower planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration. She was also responsible for state-wide communication of the Customer Satisfaction Program for all five affiliate organizations. Deborah graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Maine. She has completed graduate work in Business Administration and Psychology. She is also a 1995 graduate of The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and a 2005 graduate from the McGill International Executive Institutes Accounting & Finance Program. While at Key Bank, she attended the Williams College School of Banking and received the Norman T. Shepherd Award for Outstanding Achievement. This award is presented annually to the student who demonstrates the highest academic excellence. She has also attended the National Human Resources School at the University of Oklahoma and the National Human Resources Graduate School at the University of Colorado. Deborah has been very active over the years in many various local, community and state-wide activities. Presently, she serves as a Member of the Maine Board of Accountancy (appointed to this position by the Governor in 1993), a Member of the Maine Public Service Utility Company Board of Trustees, a Member of the Maine Cancer Foundation, a Gorham Savings Bank Corporator, and a Board Member of the Royal Resorts in Cancun, Mexico. She also serves on the Board of Alpha One Enterprises and the Advisory Board of Maine Drilling & Blasting. Previously she served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Maine, Trustee Board Member of the Portland Concert Association, Board Member of the United Way of Greater Portland, Member of the Greater Portland Economic Development Council, Member of the University of New England/Westbrook College Board of Directors, and a past Member of the Portland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. |
